The jury:

Irene Alison


Professional journalist and photo-consultant, Irene Alison was born in Naples in 1977. Creative director of the consultancy and photographic design studio DER*LAB, Irene is a teacher at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Rome and collaborates as a tutor and consultant with some of the major Italian photography schools (Isfci, Rufa, Roman School of Photography in Rome and Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence). As an editor worked for ilManifesto and for D, La Repubblica delle Donne. As a freelancer, together with photographers, has made reportages that appeared in Geo France, The Independent, l'Espresso, D, XL, Marie Claire and Riders.
Her articles of photographic criticism have been published by newspapers such as La Lettura de Il Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 ore and Pagina99. Has published two in-depth photographic essays, Mygeneration (Postcart, 2012) and iRevolution (Postcart, 2014). In 2022 it was released in the United States for Yoffy Press Holding Time, a book created together with the photographer Catherine Panebianco, of which Irene is the author of texts. In 2022, the release for Postcart of her first photographic book (La Madre Attesa, edited by Laia Abril) and her new essay Muse col Muso, animal imaginary in contemporary photography. She loves animals, and their cultural and iconographic representations, and talks about them in her blog Zazie Dogzine.
